Low Center of Gravity = Superior Handling

The bottom of the tub actually sits inside and below the top of the chassis frame rails. This allows for increased stability when hauling, as the weight of the load is closer to the ground than those whose dump bodies sit entirely above the chassis frame rails.

The low center of gravity reduces the risk of tipping over the trailer during the dump cycle without sacrificing proper dump angle and creates a lower loading height.

Our side dump trailers allow for dumping in tight spaces. They’re especially suitable for road work so you can wind row where it’s most convenient. Demco Side Dumps are also able to unload from either side so you can conveniently dump without additional adjustments to compensate.

Demco side dump trailers have the largest standard payload in the industry with up to 26.1 cubic yards of capacity. While most side dump trailers have to sacrifice capacity for stability when compared against end dump trailers, our side dump trailers are specially designed to handle larger, heavier loads without sacrificing stability and durability.

Each side dump trailer comes equipped with a large single rail, making each one stronger and lighter than other two rail systems that handle tubs. The life of each trailer tub is also extended through our FlexCorner® design that doesn’t crack under the same strain that other side dump trailers have to endure. You can also expect better clean-out from each tub, which has been raised to make room for its outer supports.

Laws vary from state to state. Example: in Nevada the law says 129,000 lbs. gross so approximately 40 tons of material. This changes by axle configuration and placement of both truck and trailers.
